The Costal Disease Rotation program gives students a distinctive prospect to learn about infectious diseases in and around Mumbai (Bombay) city. This programs offers students to visit various clinical set ups in Urban as well as Slum areas of Mumbai city.
» Duration
This 4 week program can be extended up to 8 weeks, depending on an individual.
During this 4 week program student(s) would stay for two weeks in Mumbai city, where they experience the clinical rotations in Urban as well as Slums, One week in rural area (Panvel) just outside Mumbai city and One week in.
» Accommodation
In Mumbai city, students stay at a local guesthouse /Hotel when they arrive. While in Panvel, accommodation is provided in the Local Hospital guest rooms.
» Communication
You will be assigned a mobile phone (with free unlimited incoming calls) for the duration of your stay. All-important phone numbers will have been pre-programmed along with a limited amount of airtime for emergencies. To make calls over and above the airtime included, you can purchase pre-paid phone cards locally.
You will be required to sign a $100 release form in order to receive the cell phone. You will not be charged the $100 fee if the phone is returned in good working order to your program coordinator.

Daily local transportation in and around Mumbai or Rural area during your clinical rotation or free time. However, proper guidance will be provided to participants on how to use local transport systems.
Air ticket to and fro Mumbai, India, visa fees and any travel insurance will be the responsibility of the students.
Weekend and overnight excursions outside the program activities will have to be paid by the students directly.
Expenses of personal nature like table drinks, mineral water, international telephone calls, or any other expenses which are not included in the above list as included.
